Helping Hands Food Pantry

There are two ways you can participate in the Helping Hands Food Pantry:

ELIGIBILITY: You must be a resident of Franklin County and be 18 years or age or older.

1.  Food Boxes

If you need a food box, please call the Center on Monday or Tuesday, 9-11 am. Leave your name and number with the Food Pantry. You will be contacted to arrange a pick-up time. The number of food boxes is limited; you may request one food box per month.

2. Participate in Free Food Friday

Each Friday (or another day each week if the Center is closed on Friday), from 8-10 am come to the Center and ‘shop’ the food donations we’ve received from our God’s Pantry partners listed below. November through March Free Food Friday becomes the Polar Express. Because the weather is cold and often inclement, instead of 'shopping' for items, you'll be handed a box or sack of goods. And you don't have to get out of the car.  Based on what the Center has received from our partners during the week, the box will include a variety of foods (bread items, dessert, meat and other food items.)

Part of God's Pantry in Lexington, KY, the Food Pantry accepts donations from ALDI,  Big Lots, Dollar General Stores, Kroger, Little Casear's Pizza, Panera, Papa John's, Poppy's Bakery, Starbucks and Walmart. In FY 2021 over 4300 participants received food from the Helping Hands Food Pantry.
