Download 2 Bingo cards from the Internet, call the Center and ask us to mail you 2 cards, OR stop by the Center and pick up cards. On any Tuesday about 2 pm call (859-474-2189) from your phone—either land line or cell phone. Cheryl will tell you what to do.
KET Next Chapter

As the state’s population grows older, more and more Kentuckians will face the challenges of caring for an aging loved one. To support this shift, KET (Kentucky Educational Television) created Next Chapter - an initiative focused on providing information and resources for caregivers, families, and folks 50+. You’re invited to a focus group discussion with the Capital City Activity Center community to share your thoughts on new video and web resources. This event is free, and open to center visitors, staff, caregivers and caregivees. Light refreshments will be provided for attendees.

COOKING MEALS FOR 1 OR 2

It can be hard to find the motivation to cook a meal for just one or two people. Join Pamela Holbrook, Nutrition Program Assistant with Franklin County Extension, and get ideas on how it can be both easy and affordable. Also, come eat some delicious food that we cook during the class!
FOLK DANCING

Come and enjoy some simple square dances as well as some fun mixers, a touch of historical dance, and more! Good exercise and good fellowship. Dances in this program will be easy to learn and fun to dance.
AARP SAFE DRIVING CLASS
Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 11, 10 AM—2:30 pm
AARP Smart Course could earn you a discount on your automobile insurance premiums for three to five years—and you will be a better driver. Participants will receive a certificate that may be honored at your insurance agency. $20 for AARP members; $25 for non-members. Please pay by check rather than cash. Pre-register by September 2 by calling the Center, 502-223-5794. Space is limited. “Red” Grange will be the instructor for the course. The group will break for lunch. If you would like to eat lunch in the dining room, please let the Center know when you register.
